The EnerMech equipment rental range has been extended and now includes Zone II diesel vacuum units. The units are DNV 2.7-1 containerised and feature a ‘liquid ring’ type vacuum pump, capable of pulling 0.8 bar vacuum with a maximum flow rate of 1200 CFM.
The units are designed to provide vacuum air for moving material (normally waste products) into vacuum skips. The equipment is configured such that the vacuum unit creates a constant vacuum in a waste skip, with waste then pulled into the skip via a flexible hose.
Three vacuum units have recently been on rental to Hydraulic Services Ltd in Canada to provide waste clean-up during offshore platform blasting and coating operations off the coast of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
