Canada’s largest LNG development demanded more than just technical capability—it called for a partner who could deliver at scale, navigate complex environmental standards, and build trust with local communities. EnerMech stepped in with a full suite of pre-commissioning services, combining deep expertise with a collaborative, can-do approach that helped drive the project toward operational readiness and key milestones.

The Challenge

Canada’s largest LNG development – located in British Columbia – required a specialist contractor to deliver a wide range of pre-commissioning services for a 14-million-tonnes-per-annum, two-train modular LNG production and export facility. The project demanded deep technical expertise, strict adherence to environmental regulations, and a strong commitment to building trusted relationships with local communities and stakeholders.

The Solution

EnerMech was engaged to deliver multiple scopes during the pre-commissioning phase, including:

  • Temporary plant utilities (nitrogen, air, demineralised water)

  • Air blows, hydroblasting, and lube oil flushing

  • Cooling water cleaning and passivation

  • AGRU degreasing and operational pressure leak testing

  • Drying and nitrogen inerting

  • Valve testing

By deploying multi-skilled teams, EnerMech was able to respond flexibly to the project’s diverse technical and logistical requirements, ensuring safe and efficient execution across all scopes.

The Outcome

EnerMech’s contribution was instrumental in achieving key project milestones, including the successful introduction of natural gas to the facility. The company’s integrated approach enabled seamless coordination across business lines, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and personnel. Strong collaboration with local stakeholders and project partners helped foster a positive working environment and contributed to the overall success of the development.
