EnerMech in running for ECITB accolade third year in a row

EnerMech has been shortlisted for the ‘Training Organisation of the Year’ title at the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) Training & Development Awards 2024.

This is the third year in a row the company has been recognised by the UK-based standards and qualifications body for its contribution to the energy and engineering sectors through unique training opportunities offered at its six world-class facilities. The previous two years, the business has secured accolades as part of its 3t EnerMech joint venture.

More than 116 technical skills courses are offered by EnerMech, with accreditations in addition to the ECITB from the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) and OPITO.

The awards ceremony is set to take place on Tuesday 5th November in London. As part of the judging process, the number of people trained and the quality of training provided will be evaluated, as well as equality and diversity, innovation and ambition, interaction with the ECITB and generally the value added to the market.

Jennifer Batchelor at EnerMech said: “At a time when the UK’s engineering and energy sectors face unprecedented challenges, the training opportunities we offer ensure we can empower the workforce with the vital knowledge and skills required for safe operations and access to working across a number of different industries around the world. We are also proud of the work we do to support the next generation of engineers in gaining these necessary certifications to kick start their careers. Being shortlisted once again by the ECITB is a testament to our team’s dedication and the positive impact we continue to make.”

EnerMech CEO Chuck Davison Jr added: “For the last 25 years, our range of upskilling and competency training programmes have encouraged people to pursue career opportunities with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed. We have an excellent team across our training centres who are supportive and very knowledgeable, which is invaluable. We are honoured that our commitment to workforce development is being recognised by the ECITB.”
