Analyse This – £1000 Raised for Charity In EnerMech Fitness Drive

Staff at mechanical services firm, EnerMech, competed in a six week fitness campaign and donated £1000 to charity in the process.

Eleven teams of four cut down on the cakes and biscuits and were measured across five areas – weight, blood pressure, body mass index, body fat and aerobic capacit

The winning team failed to live up to their name and successful dieters in the ‘Too Big to Analyse’ squad were operations director Phil Bentley, mechanical fitter Michael Watson, stores supervisor Bob Murphy and business development director John Wingfield.

As part of the fitness initiative the company donated £1000 to the winner’s nominated charity, the Anthony Nolan Trust.

EnerMech human resources director, Shirley Smith said: “We have seen more people joining the gym and participating more regularly in exercise and we are hoping the consumption of pies and fish suppers has decreased as a result.

“All the teams entered in to the spirit of the competition – some more than others – and we hope to run a similar event next year.”
