First West African Contract Win for EnerMech

Mechanical services company EnerMech Ltd has secured its first West African contract.

Canadian Natural Resources (CNR) has commissioned the Aberdeen company to provide crane maintenance and support for the Espoir Field Development wellhead platforms, located off the Ivory Coast.

The Espoir project is a production facility for oil and natural gas and is situated in block C1-26, located 19km offshore of Jacquesville. The two year contract is worth a significant six figure sum and will be managed from EnerMech’s Aberdeen base.

John Morrison, EnerMech’s cranes & lifting director, said: “We have worked with CNR on all their North Sea assets for a number of years and we are pleased they have decided to extend that relationship by engaging us on international projects.

“This is also our first entry in to the West African crane maintenance market and will act as a template for other projects which we will be bidding for in this busy region.”

EnerMech’s cranes and lifting division provides specialist services in the operation, inspection and maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment in addition to design, engineering and management services of onshore and offshore crane projects.
