Overview

EnerMech delivered mechanical pre-commissioning services for the Yibal Khuff integrated oil and gas facility in Oman, overcoming significant logistical and environmental challenges. The project faced COVID-19 travel restrictions, extreme heat, and limited access to flanged connections. EnerMech developed a tailored strategy that included chemical cleaning, amine degreasing, boiler boilouts, and steam blowing.

A single-fill chemical cleaning process was engineered to reduce waste and eliminate the need for steam blowing on key systems. This approach saved 6–8 weeks on the commissioning schedule and reduced resource consumption, helping the client stay on track for first oil.

Key Highlights

  • Chemical cleaning, amine degreasing, boiler boilouts, and steam blowing

  • Custom-engineered setup to overcome limited flange access

  • Single-fill chemical cleaning to reduce waste and resource use

  • On-time delivery despite COVID-19 restrictions and harsh conditions

  • Estimated 6–8 weeks saved on commissioning schedule
