EnerMech has been awarded a contract by Parklife Metro to support construction and commissioning of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport project, Australia’s newest fully automated railway.

To be delivered by the EnerMech’s Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions (I&I) business line, the electrical scope is focused on ensuring safe, compliant and controlled energization activities during construction and commissioning. This includes authorised isolator and high-voltage switching support along with associated permit to work and permit control officer services.

The award marks another milestone for EnerMech in the Australian infrastructure sector, demonstrating its continued ability to deliver safety-critical services on complex, large-scale projects. The project will be delivered by a locally based team in Sydney, leveraging existing workforce capability and long-term regional expertise.

EnerMech currently supports Transport for New South Wales through works on Metro Trains Sydney and Great River City Light Rail (Parramatta Light Rail). Like these rail projects, the award with Parklife Metro continues EnerMech’s long term success in delivering construction, commissioning, 24/7 maintenance and operational support for Sydney rail infrastructure.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr., EnerMech Chief Executive Officer, said: “By continuing to win and successfully undertake contracts in rail infrastructure scopes, EnerMech’s Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions team reinforces its position as a specialist provider of choice across the industry.

“We would like to thank our colleagues at Parklife Metro for entrusting us with this latest contract, which will be delivered by our local team, which prioritises safety and efficiency to ensure that risk is reduced on often complex projects.”

The contract will see EnerMech deploy a specialist workforce to support safe and efficient delivery.

Vasant Saith, SVP Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions at EnerMech, said: “Winning this scope on the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project is a strong endorsement of the depth and discipline our I&I team brings to safety-critical work.

“Energization and high-voltage switching during commissioning leaves no margin for error, and our local team's experience on similar scopes puts us in a strong position to support Parklife Metro through this next stage on what is a significant development for the region’s economy.”
