EnerMech has been commissioned by Bumi Armada to provide leak testing services on the Armada TGT 1 FPSO which is undergoing conversion at the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore.
The mechanical services group will carry out gross air leak testing, nitrogen helium leak test and leak repair services onboard the TGT 1, which is the newest addition to Bumi Armada’s FPSO fleet.
The FPSO will be deployed in the Te Giac Trang (or White Rhinoceros) oil field in Vietnam’s Cuu Long Basin and is expected to strike first oil in Q3, 2011.
EnerMech recently invested £20 million (US$ 33 million) on a new Process, Pipeline & Umbilicals division and the company and will utilise its extensive PPU fleet, including nitrogen converters and tanks, a nitrogen helium leak testing spread and bolt torquing spread to complete the project.
